without you explaining whats happening i couldnt tell by myself,
however i really like the way you made the head, like the lighting on it and especially on the eye

did you lighten this? seemed darker the first time i saw it. looks great. still too dark, IMO. and i can't tell what's going on to his left, but maybe it's what you intended. really love the expression on his face. nice work!

Great expression you created here.
But I have to agree with the others.
Without your description one has no clue what's going on - but maybe you wanted this effect on purpose?

thanks for all the comments! I was going for something really dark for the mood, and I felt I had to give up a little of the description in the picture for the whole

I should plan my paintings more in advance to avoid further heartburn.
